Anyone having surgery Feb. 15th?

Recommended Posts

Started the pre op diet yesterday...needless to say, was not in the best of moods last night and had a major headache! Today is a new day though. I went in for my pre op appointment this morning and I guess that's the last thing, until my surgery on the 15th. I'm ready to get this thing done! Anyone else ready? ????

My surgery is 2/16. Started my 2 week preop diet yesterday which consists of Protein Shakes, broth, SF Jello and SF Popsicles. Days are ok but evenings with the family are rough!! More nervous about the preop diet then I am the surgery!!

Hi Shiloh 2004! We have pre op spot. the same date as well as our sleeve on the 15th. ????. Good luck to you!!

Newbe312, we are going to be so successful at this. My pre op visit didn't amount to much. A bunch of medical history, an EKG, blood work, and x-rays. I have to be at the hospital at 7:30 AM on the 15th, and my surgery is scheduled for 9:30. My surgeon wants me up and walking as much as possible on the day of surgery. I supposedly get out the next day in the afternoon. What about you? How are you doing on your pre op diet? My biggest problem is finding the energy to exercise, but I try to do it every day. Best of luck to you! Thoughts and prayers are with you!

Hi Shiloh 2004! My preop visit was spent going over what to do for preop diet and getting ready day of surgery. I won't find out until Friday what time the surgery is scheduled for. I have to call between 2-4. Just started preop diet today. I only have to do 5 days...Missing my morning bagel but I know I can do this!!! And we are going to be successful! How is your preop diet going? Best of luck on surgery day!! I am sending hugs and prayers for a speedy recovery!! ????

Yes, I began my pre-op diet on Feb. 1. It certainly hasn't been easy, but I will make it. 4 days and counting until surgery. That's when my new, healthier, happier life will begin! Can't wait!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
