Doing well here. My main incision is sore, and still have some gas pains but other than that I felt good.

Occasionally have some pain when drinking water/jello, but nothing unmanageable.

I'm glad you guys had good recoveries, mine has not gone so well!!! I haven't been able to get anything down & could not pee at first!!! After I take sips of Water, it causes horrible spasms & pain in my stomach! The first night I kept dry heaving & thought I was gonna rip open my staples!!!!! I just wanna feel normal again!!!! They are giving me Zofran & Toradol around the clock! Prayers to all!

You should have thrown your phone at your snoring husband and reminded him that he was there to support you, not drive you to distraction!

Surgery ended up being at 12 today. I had and still have lots a trapped gas. Been walking and it's helping a bit, but that is the majority of my pain. The pain med I have is making me super nauseous and the zofran that is suppose to dissolve under my tongue isn't dissolving very well and is making my nauseous. Husband is snoring like a crazy person
All in all, I feel ok

ckcford, any news? Hopefully your are feeling at least a smidge better.

Feeling better today. Have gotten NO Protein down, but am sipping Water and sugar free apple juice which tastes amazing. Haven't needed much pain medication today, but the incisions burn a bit. Feeling ok.

Hey Everyone! Happy New Year! I just toasted in the new year with some Powerade Zero, haha. I've been sipping and sipping and walking and walking. Gas pains are all gone, but the fact that every single time I take a sip and it sits right above my stomach before it 'flushes' into it is bothering me like crazy. No sharp pains, just dull soreness. I'm dying to take a solid sip of Water without having to sip.

@ fatchick84

I have lidocaine gel that I put around the incisions. Helps with the burning.

They kept me in the hospital 2-nights & I asked to come home today... So I'm finally home! But I still have lots of pain & what seems like painful spasms on & off?!?? I don't know if that's gas or something else! I still haven't been able to get much down because as soon as it hits my stomach it's painful! The smell of broth Makes me nauseated!!!! I'm hoping I can get down some Protein Shake tomorrow so I can start getting Protein in! ????????????????????????

I hope you all are doing great! Blessings!!!

Hi Guys! I am being sleeved on Jan 14th. I am really getting nervous. For all that have had the procedure done, was it worth it? Any regrets?

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
