Insurance coverage to get band removed after getting it in another country?

I had gotten my band in Mexico and now I'm have serious problems. I'm throwing up can't eat or drink with out vomiting or it hurting. Water I can barely drink. I just want to know if anyone gotten out of country and then their insurance covered the removal and revision to sleeve?

I did not go out of the country for my band but was self pay for it. My insurance paid for my band to sleeve revision even though I was uninsured when the band was placed.

@@strawberiegirl, I'm sorry that you've been having such a miserable time.

How long have you had your band? What have you been doing for follow-up care since band surgery in Mexico? If you reply, start by clicking the little blue "mention" under my i.d. info or I'll never know that you replied.

You have to check with your own insurance, but it's my understanding that most insurances will cover a revision even if they didn't originally cover a wls. My mom's insurance doesn't cover any wls but will cover a revision if you are having complications because it would be deemed medically nessacery.
