Yes, that's what my nutritionist said as well. She said to try to get 3/day. I'm just curious how much u can really drink at a time. I eat my first meal in a few hours so I guess I'll see how I tolerate liquids.

Good luck on ur procedure! Ull do great!

Hi! I'm recovering so well! Thank God! Honestly I thought recovery would be horrible, but it really hasn't been! I finally got to eat my clear liquid diet last night and couldn't finish (I should say) didn't want to finish my 4 oz of broth.

Today I did eat my 2 oz broth, 2 oz Jello, 2 oz apple juice and 1 oz Protein packet. It took about an hour to eat but I feel good!

I hope ur surgery and recovery goes smoothly!

Glad you are doing good! I also felt like my Sleeve was easier recovery than the band... maybe I just knew what to expect. When do you progress to full liquids? I remember that being such a relief... to have thin Soups and yogurt! The liquids get old fast.

Thank u! I went to full liquids on day 2! Although that was just 2 oz of Soup, 2 oz of Jello, and 2 oz juice at one meal. Lol. Each day I'm getting in more and more. Have to work on getting my Protein Shakes in. I hate sipping and then it gets warm. I go to purées on tues! So tuna and canned meats are ok...can't wait! Lol

I'm doing great--so sweet of you to check in! I'm a public speaker and had a big event in NYC this weekend so that kept me busy. I was feeling pretty apprehensive on Friday and have scheduled an appointment to see my doctor tomorrow once I've flown into Kansas City. Since I had lap and erosion and ended up in Intensive Care I think I'm a bit more fearful than I would normally be. I had a severe gastric bleed with the erosion and I never want to go through anything like that again. I'm sure after talking to Dr Hoehn tomorrow I will feel peaceful and ready to rock and roll on Tuesday.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
