Out of nowhere tonight I suddenly felt like I had to vomit, 3 hours after I ate dinner. I spit up a lot of liquid, and had a horrible burning sensation in my throat, and taste in my mouth. I've never had acid reflux, I suppose that is what it was? I haven't been taking my prilosec the last few weeks, since I thought maybe after two months with no problem I was in the clear?

I did really well yesterday at thanksgiving, except I ate a big chunk of skin from a deep fried Turkey. Could that trigger an attack over 24 hours later? It's the first time I've had anything that fatty in probably eight months. It was the only thing I've done out of the ordinary, today was back to my regular diet, although I did fund a beef Jerky with no carbs, and had about half an ounce of that with lunch.
I had pepcid complete in the house, and chewed one of those. I'll call the doctor tomorrow, but can I restart the prilosec tonight?
Should I sleep sitting up tonight? Would that help prevent another episode?
If that is what people with gerd go through, my sympathy level has just gone through the roof. What a miserable feeling.
