EXERCISE CHALLENGE

Okay everyone- So I'm having some trouble getting motivated to exercise so I thought I would start up an exercise challenge so we can do it together. Here's the outline:

1) Let everyone know what your weekly exercise goal is

2) Let us know what your goal weight loss is for the challenge period (till 12/24)

3) Report back each week with if you made your exercise goal and what your weight is!

I know we can do this together!!

My goal is to exercise 3 hours per week and my CW 225.6 goal weight 214.6 (by 12/24)

Hi all - I took a stab at a spreadsheet for us to keep track. I added in your totals and notes.... in case you gave them. Here you go. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/18id7l5SrwltXidLudgjC

  • I think it's a good idea to set a weekly exercise goal, but I don't think attaching a WLS goal to it is helpful. There are enough post from people comparing themselves to others and kicking themselves

Found out the pain in my hip is advanced arthritis and pool exercise is the best thing for it so my doing the challenge turned out to be the right thing. I am averaging an hour a day (a little over my goal) and lost 4 lbs so far. I think I will definitely hit my goal. Good luck to everyone.

This was my first week out of the hospital for issues with my colon and I only got in one 75 minute yoga class. I was so exhausted. But I'm down to 213 which was beyond my goal. Going to try to make a comeback this week with the exercise...Merry Christmas to everyone!!!

Merry X-Mas to everyone! This is supposed to be the end to our challenge. I exercised 3 hours this week and surpassed my weight loss goal starting at 225.6 and am now at 212.6. I'd like to keep the challenge going to keep us all motivate so whoever is still checking in let's continue to do so to give each other support. This goes along great with Stephh's weight loss challenges.

@@Rebeccaabrooks86 So how far are you going to do this or will you end and begin a new one for the new year?

Thank you

Rebecca, This challenge has helped me stay motivated to work out since we started. So a BIG thank you! I did 2,25 hours last week. :) I am good with keeping things going but I know it is extra work for you.

A second exercise challenge has just been posted. Hope you all join for round 2 :)

@@Rebeccaabrooks86 Hi just wanted to know where the new posting is at as I would like to start this challenge.

I don't know how many days are considered for the week and when will postings take place, ie; every Monday or Sunday?

I would like to try this to stay accountable along with the Valentine's challenge.

Thank you

It should be up where the old posting is. It's every Monday-Monday.

I made it to the gym 5 days and walked in NYC over 20,000 steps Saturday so I had a good week :) weight 228.4, not alot of movement but we all know how that goes!
