  4. I was sleeved Nov25, no issues after surgery. SW 252, current weight 228. Averaging 800 calories, 80-100 protein, 50 carbs. I need to do a better job tracking fluid intake to be sure I am getting enough. I do spin class and elliptical and starting weights this week for toning. The only issue I have experienced is the "stuck" feeling some people get. That can be a real downer, makes me discouraged but I know from reading posts it will eventually pass.

  10. Current weight 229 Exercise goal 5 hours week Weight goal for 3/1/16 209 Getting to the gym with my work schedule is a pain, I hate going at 6am . This commitment will help hold me accountable ????????
  11. I have the same issue although some days it doesn't seem as bad as others, not sure why. I asked my doctor about it and he said they do make a fairly narrow small opening from the esophagus and they can open/stretch it a little with a scope if necessary but that is something they don't even consider until 8 months out. It is designed to prevent us eating too fast/too much especially in the beginning. I just didn't expect to have the "stuck" feeling up so high. I honestly like my protein shakes more then eating because liquid goes down without that feeling. I am 6 weeks out.
  12. I was approved the first time they submitted. Bmi 40, I think as long as they include everything required it takes about a week to week and a half to hear back fro Aetna. I had an 7 year history of weight loss attempts (120 lb loss in 2008 and then slow gain of 50 of it over the years) . Hope you get good news

  16. I know this is waaaay late but in case anyone else is researching Rhode Island I had a great experience with Dr. Todd Stafford from Surgical Associates. They work out of Miriam Hospital but also Rhode Island Hospital. The bariatrics program is primarily at Miriam I believe. Dr.stafford is fantastic and my hospital stay was nothing but positive. My surgery was November 25, the day before thanksgiving. The nurses and drs were all nice and supportive, nothing but good things to say. The drs main secretary is not super organized but she was a small bump in the road and I just kept up with everything myself and didnt let that impede my progress. All 4 dra in the practice seem very good from my research. 3 of them checked on me in the 2 days i was in the hospital and at my follow ups I saw Dr. Stafford and the PA.
  17. Congratulations on your accomplishments, you look so happy and heathy! I am 5 days post op and hoping my results are as amazing as yours!
  18. I will definitely post after , thanks for the well wishes !
  19. My surgery is tomorrow at 8:30am, a little nervous but so excited ????. Good luck to everyone being sleeved tomorrow! (And everyone else as well ????
