Interesting!

I love eggs! Although some of those grossed me out just a little....

Still cannot eat them without feeling sick. Although I try every couple of weeks, last week I tried poached, although it stayed down, I felt yucky after.

I miss eggs!

I kind chuckled when I saw this I have been in so much pain since eating a hard boild egg last Monday. It caused inflammation and an abrasion right where the stomach curves after the esophagus enter the stomach. I can to eat or drink anything without the most pain ive ever had in my life. I spend all day feeling like I am having a heart attack. I'm not complaining necause I did it to my self but I thought I could share with you all. The only good news is that I have lost over 10 lbs in a week but at a costvi didn't really want. I am sucking it up trying to drink the Protein and Water but I am feeling like I may have to go back to the Doc. I have been to the Er they know its not a bloodclot and Dr. T done the upper GI with barrium and we can see where even the liquid is pooling and he said it could take abput two weeks to heal and to go back to soft food but it just hurts so bad I can't do it. Staying with the shakes for at least the protein

Ok congrats. I was actually sleeved 10/20. I'm having a really difficult time with liquids. Hunger pains are killing me and today I gave in to eating solids. It was the worst decision I had made. Now I know this is going to be a tough road.

Congratulations on your surgery. You need to be supper delight in regards of following the liquid and soft food guidlines and give your stomach time to heal. This happened to ke andvi was on solids so you never know what food is going to cause you issues. The hunger is dehydration try drinking Water when you start to feel hungry. It is my understanding that it is head hunger this early in. It is a very uncomfortable situation I am in now but I promise you up until Monday I had zero issues. Nor vomiting, nausea, pain after about 3 days of surgery. Nothing, I was like did I even have surgery. So don't feel like its all going to be miserable you will soon feel good I promise.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
