I had a lovely 2 oz filet for dinner tonight, and I'm 7 weeks post-op. I cooked it in a cast Iron skillet to get a nice crust and it was medium rare. So yummy! Served with a garlic Parmesan spaghetti

I eat it all the time! Tri tip, mostly. I did have some problems with it early out (4-6 months), so I would only get the most tender cuts. Now I seem to handle it much better. I love me a good steak!

Just upset stomach...almost like it was too hard to digest. Honestly was the only food that ever gave me an issue. I haven't thrown up once since surgery 14 months ago

I'm currently on full liquids, 5 days post op. I know protein is the priority---so does this mean eventually steak will be able to be consumed, even if it's just a couple bites? I can't imagine eating it now, but I assume if it's tender enough there won't be a problem? (Can you tell I'm craving to CHEW on something? Haha)
