I've been sleeved over 2 years and I woke up from surgery hungry. Lost over 50lbs but gaining now. I'm a grazer. Never been able to just eat 3 meals and 2 snacks. Sent from my LG-H918 using BariatricPal mobile app

pre-surgery jitters
Surgery probably makes most people nervous. It's a big step in a good direction for your health but you need to be sure because there is no turning back. I had regret but it did not last. Now I'm haph i did it. My aunt went from band to sleeve and loves it.

Any Second Thoughts while on pre-op Diet?
There are plenty out there. My surgeon sells his own brand of shakes and i was not a fan of the price or taste. I ordered syntrax nectars and matrix they have a guarantee. If you dont like it they will refund you. I liked some flavors prior to surgery but not after. I also use genepro clear protein with no flavor from amazon. There is something out there comparable to what your surgeon pushes im sure. Good luck!

Day 3
I cheated on my liquid diet the girst 7 days. I ate out but still had my protein shakes. I lost about 12 lbs pre op. I was completely committed to the liquids on the last 3 days before surgery. I had no issues. Syntrax nectars was the protein i used. I mixed them with water and they taste good. They have lemon and tea flavors as well as the standard chocolate and vanilla flavors. After surgery i did not like them for about a month.

Thanksgiving post week 3
Try a bite. Put it on your tongue and you will know if you can proceed. Some people can not take sweets so early and will have major problems. The biggest problem with sweets is that if you can tolerate them you are in a dangerous position and can sabotage your weightloss efforts. Some protein powders can be used to make mug cakes. Try that for a better dessert option.

New job and surgery timing
Congratulations! I was back to work in about 15 days. Going back sooner would probably have been better. I had no problems with recovery and no pain. A little tenderness that was aggravated by sitting at my desk job but not bad enough for pain meds. Good luck and wear comfy clothes to work.

Blender or nutribullet?
I have both and have not used any since my surgery on Sept 30, 2015. I have a shaker bottle for my Protein shakes. I plan on using my nutribullet soon for my smoothies.

Any Experiences with Not Obeying Doctors Orders?
I probably dont eat as well as i should at 4 weeks post op. I don't necessarily defy orders because mine were vague. I am eating dried fruit and i drink from a straw and i gulp instead of sip. No problems so far but i have an appointment with a Nut next week and plan to follow her plan as closely as possible.

Patín after eating too fast
Yes. If you eat too fast and feel uncomfy then your sleeve is working. Put your fork down between bites. I still struggle with it from time to time.

Its taking a toll on me
There's some good advice here. Keep reading and you will find some things that really help. You will get through this. I was feeling a little lost and my local support group only meets 1x a month so i found groups in surrounding areas to attend. As far as the food if you dont like some of the suggestions find something similar. If there is something you didnt like pre surgery you may find that you like it now. Since your fears may be tied to the hormone changes you are going through just stick to the plan.....protein first, then veggies and water, water, water. Keep coming back there are a lot of people here to help. You can do this. You will get passed this.

Probably a dumb question but....
I'm 4 weeks out and i can take a few gulps at once but that's my limit.
