I say go for it. Life is all about change for the better.

Thank you for the replies! I think I'm going to go ahead and see if I can get scheduled later in December. 6 weeks into the new job should be enough time to get a good handle on how things work.

I would do the surgery as scheduled. Recovery is usually quick and then it's a waiting game for the weight to come off.

Hi all,
Newbie here - I've been a stalker for awhile, but I've decided it's time to join the discussions!
Need some advice. I started the process in August, had my first consultation in late September and here I am, already insurance approved for the sleeve in early November. I will very likely get a surgery date for December.
Potential problem - I received a promotion at work and will start working in the new job in two weeks.
Is surgery within the first few weeks of the job going to be too much to handle? It'll be a desk job, so I don't worry too much about physical restrictions.. but I'm more worried about being able to take on two big changes in such a short period of time.
Thoughts??
