  5. So I'm not going to beat around the bush! I like my liquor, I have probably about 5 drinks a week. When I had my surgery I told my surgeon that I like my rum n cokes. He told me obviously not to drink them often but if I really want on every once in a while to drink them with flat Coke, at first I though, well that sounds nasty but after my first one I thought, it's not bad. But then I started to like them, after a while I got where every day id get home and drink them as a stress reliever. But now, obviously in having issues and I'm not sure if it's alcohol related or not. I need some advice, I don't want to quit drinking entirely because I do use it as a stress reliever because my job is VERY intense but am I ruining my stomach? That is the last thing I want to do.

  7. I was sleeves on May 18th 2015 so I am about 5 months out, I have lost about 65 lbs, I'm not sure where that ranks among others but that's where I'm at. Anyways, I was curious about food intakes. I notice I eat way more now than post op and was not sure if I'm eating to much since I've stalled out. About how many ounces is everyone eating in one setting and are you a grazer??

  13. I know how imperative it is to follow the protein diet but on occasion does anyone splurge? I don't mean splurge by eating a lot just having an occasional cheeseburger or unhealthy foods. I have occasional cravings for cupcakes or cheeseburgers and I'm worried if I eat something like that it will put me off track. Any advice would definitely be helpful.
  14. I am in the soft foods stage, I had my surgery may 18th. I have a hard time eating, I tried eating refried beans today and it hurt so bad, my Drs nurse said everyone progresses differently and not to be alarmed. I eat lots of cottage cheese and avocados that I smash up.
  15. Thank you all for your help! I think I need to drink more protein, I don't drink a shake everyday but it sounds like I need to!
  16. Hi everyone, tomorrow I will be 3 weeks post op and I was wondering if anyone else at this stage was just incredibly tired and feeling major regret? Does the tiredness go away? All I heard for months while researching this was how much energy people had after surgery. I'm not experiencing any of that.
  17. How long after surgery before the tiredness goes away?
  18. This will be my first challenge! Current weight 213 Goal weight 199 Thank you!!
  19. I usually get about 75 to 80 grams of protein a day but I eat a lot of cottage cheese and drink the muscle milk protein shakes. They have about 25g in one shake with less sugar than others, plus they taste good! Also, Greek yogurt has lots of protein.
  20. Thanks you all for your advice, I will wait to drink!
  21. Hi Everyone! So, I am about 3 weeks post op and I feel fantastic. I feel that I am ready to have a glass of wine, from all the research I've done there's really nothing that says I can't have wine now, my doctor did not tell me how long I had to wait so I feel it is a good time to have a glass of wine if I want one. Are there any reasons I should not have wine this soon?
