Anyone having surgery in November?

I finally got my date it's November 19th at 3:30. I go for my pre op appointment on Tuesday. I'm a mix of emotions. I am excited and ready to start this but having some anxiety about the actual surgery. This will be my first time undergoing something of this nature. I am also curious how everyone felt right after and how long before you were up and around? I have 3 kids 2 of which I homeschool my husband will be home to help out for a week but after that he goes back to work, he is an over the road truck driver so I am hoping I am doing well by then.

Surgery date is Nov 2 --- on 2 week pre op diet now.

We have the same date for surgery! One more week. How's the liquid diet going? I'm okay as long as I'm not around delicious food smells, lol!

I'm scheduled doe 11/2, too. We're on the home stretch!

Yes we are! Are you on a liquid pre op diet too?

Yep--full liquids. A bit tired of the shakes & Jello, but it will be worth it next week.

How are you doing?

My date is november 19th too!!! I understand how you feel. I am not nervous about the surgery really because I'm in the medical field and find it fasinating. But I am worried about recovery time at home. I'm not a good patient.

Today was much better. I have grown to hate the Protein shakes but chug them just because I know I have to have them. V8 and egg drop Souphave been my saving grace. Have you found any way to help with the shakes?

November 3rd here! 7:30am on day 7 of a 2 week clear liquid diet ????

I just got my Bariatric pal powdered soup variety pack that I ordered online. Not yet brave enough to try. I got peppermint B 12 and so much better than the cherry flavor! I got orange chewable multivitamin from Bariatric advantage and it is really nasty. Starting to lose hope of a multivitamin I can stand:(

Have you tried the Bariatric Fusion Multivitamin Soft chews? They are delicious and sugar free. I have tried about every vitamin there is and these are the best tasting. I'll post a pic of what I am using

. I read some reviews about Bariatric fusion that were pretty negative, stating that does not have complete vitamin amounts etc. I have been wanting to ask my doctors opinion .

Bariatric Fusion is the only product my doctor recommends because it has everything you need and was actually developed by someone who knows bariatric surgery. I like the shakes so far. I have tried the vitamins and they aren't bad either.
