Need help to find the best protein power

Recommended Posts

The "best" Protein Powder is whichever powder you'll happily drink for the next however long...

Yes, there are some that have more protein/less carbs etc than others but ultimately it'll be about your ability and willingness to consume the stuff two or three times a day.

My personal favourites are as follows...

Syntrax nectar - Fuzzy Navel

Syntrax Matrix - Bananas & Cream

Syntrax Matrix - strawberry Cream

powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury unflavored is great to add to things like yogurt or many others. Protein items from sams or costco are not bad. But but an individual one at quicky stores to see if you like.

I usually love strawberry and couldn't drink it. I like the pwd vanilla the best. But everyone wrote don't over buy and it was so true. You buy like the old you but the new you eats and drinks so little you don't need a lot.

My husband likes it all or I'd be returning so much.

Haha uh oh...I've already bought at least 5 cases of Premier Protein and 3 more canisters of Unjury coming in a few days.

I kinda wanted to do a month of Liquid Protein just to blow off as much weight as I can but who knows what I'll like or miss after surgery.

Purchase items to try and keep the receipts. costco will accept returns and so will Trader Joe's with no hassle.

I am only 5 days post-op, but what I liked pre-op has held true in post-op so far.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
