Yesterday I went to my PCP. She is awesome, I love her and I hope I never, ever, ever have to be without her for my medical needs. She has been a guiding light through my WLS journey.
Anyway.
Before she even looked at my chart, she took one look at me and said "Oh my goodness girl, you are shrinking!" With tears in my eyes I said "but I haven't lost any weight in the last week, something must be wrong!"
After she helped wiped the tears and soothe my insecurities she commented that it appears as if I am losing inches, rather than pounds.
Huh? I don't understand and before she could explain we were got off track talking about birth control, migraine medicine, Iron supplements and other topics of health related interest(s).
So, is it possible to be losing inches and not pounds? Is that really a "thing" or was she just trying to make me feel better?
