questions about band to bypass revision

Recommended Posts

I would like to know how the revisions are going?

We have the Protein items in Maine that you are using Banded... I love each I have tried, except the broc cheddar Soup I thought was nasty.... I need to try the lemon!

So for me to hear this as an option I'm upset. I have had band for 7years problem after problem for the last 4 years and my surgeon never gave me this as an option. Now he has retired and out looking for someone to help me. I'm so uncomfortable and hate always going to get Fluid removed. Grant it I have kept about 70lbs off but gain about 30lbs of the 100 lbs in all that I originally lost. I'm so scared to gain that weight back. No one seems to understand my pain. Sorry for venting

@@t_marie I had the band for 5 years with many issues. I originally lost 80lbs, but gained back 55lbs from them having to keep taking Fluid out. But I had issues with that dang thing since day 1. But I finally had mine taken out in November 2015 and revised to RNY. I'm so glad I had that horrid band removed!!

I have a couple questions. I had to go the ER due aspirating in my sleep (reflux, salivia??) found out my band had slipped. So have had all the Fluid removed and approved for surgery.. but have questions about reflux and the Sleeve and Bypass. I keep reading Bypass has been around longer there for the " Gold Standard" anyone with any insight I am not sheduled yet for the surgery due to getting ready to travel out of the country. I can say now with the band unfilled its the first time I feel in forever that I can sleep without choking and lay on my stomach at night. Any words of insight would be appreciated.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
