cheese stick and cashews are one of my favorite Snacks, cost maybe $2.50 and I can go into any cvs or Walgreens and get this.

Wendy's grilled chicken sandwich, minus 1/2 the bun.

We have lots of food trucks where I work, so any meat based entree thats not fried, and I ditch the carby sides or ask for veggies.

Wawa is a local convenience store chain that has decent eats. Salads, protein Snacks, etc.

I use Protein bars such as Quest bars when I am on the go to supplement my Protein. When I eat out I try and find something on the menu that contains protein and low on carbs. I use chili at Wendy's, crunchy tacos at Taco Bell, and several types of Soups. I am 28 months post-op RNY so I have a little more latitude. Generally they wish you to avoid fast food restaurants for at least the first year.

I love grabbing cheese, jerkey and pistachios when I am running and don't have time.

Also Protein bars can do the trick for some, I find they are still a bit sweet for me so I can only eat a bite ir two and it really doesn't make me very satisfied.

If you have a chick fila near you you can order the kids size grilled chicken nuggets with a fruit cup for the side. It is delicious and just the right size. In fact you might even have a nugget left over.

Noodles and company have a great choice for us called the buff bowl. They have 4 different favors but my favorite is the pan Asian made with chicken instead of beef. It is basically a hot stir fry on a bed of fresh spinach.

I take the leftovers the next day and simply stir fry them in a pan. It is divine and very healthy!

Panera has their Soup and salad combos, these are great solutions as well.

I stay completely out of fast food places with the exception of chick fila and that has been 3 times in the last year. , I just cannot and will not eat things like McDonald's or Wendy's anymore. I have gotten so used to eating fresh home cooked food that eating out has become a chore that does not make me happy.

The other thing I do if I am out and need something is grab a carton of fat free milk. It fills me up gives me Protein and I am good until my next meal.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
