Band to bypass revision date 16th September

Recommended Posts

It's been quite a journey so far successful band surgery 2012 then problems with my band and weight regain all bar 30lb. I am on the pre op diet of lean Protein and no more than 40g of carbs. Surgery is 11 days away feeling nervous and excited. Have lost 10 on pre op diet so far. Have pdh diet protein for post op in strawberry and mint choc chip. Any other revision people out there how are you all doing x

Hi there!

Congrats! That's exciting! I had band to bypass on 08/11 so I'm almost a month post op. Doing great! I think having the band has helped me know how to chew well and eat slower with small bites. Happy to say I haven't puked once! Amazing! The surgery wasn't too bad at all. Mostly sore where that stupid band came out but no regrets. Best of luck to you. It will be awesome!!

That's awesome! Glad you are doing well!!!

I have to agree with @SunlnUT having the band helped with the smaller bites and chewing for sure. I had my band removed almost a month ago now and I am still taking small bites and chewing well. I think after having it for so long, you just learn to keep same habit which is great and will help me when I get my revision on Nov 12. :)

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
