You look fabulous Jacqui! When were you banded? I am sure you have worked hard at it - I've never worn a bikini in my entire life!

Oh, I wish! Wouldnt you love to have your 30's back again slim, fit and healthy. I really feel like I didnt get the most out of life for most of my 30's.

Thanks for the compliments guys! I know its cliche, but honestly, if I can do it anyone can. I just get out there night after night, putting one foot in front of the other. Running has made all the difference I think.

Hi Everyone...

Having a bad day today... cant eat anything without bringing it up and only can manage a few sips of Fluid. I had a fill nearly 2 weeks ago and i felt more restriction but now i feel heaps... too much.

Im not sure why and im really worried something has gone wrong. Is it possible for restriction to kick in to this degree 2 weeks after a fill???

I was really busy yesterday and didnt eat a great deal... could this have contributed to my band tightness today.

Any advise will be appreciated.

Please feel free to totally ignore me as I am not yet banded, but having been busy yesterday, could you perhaps be eating to fast and so not chewing properly. It seems odd that your fill was ok for 2 weeks.

As I said, feel free to ignore me if I'm off track here.

A fill can take a couple of weeks to kick in. It isn't unheard of.

It is possible that somehow your stomach was irritated, and some swelling has come up as a result of that irritation.

I would keep sipping as much as I could, and avoid anything even remotely solid for at least 24 hours, and see if it all settles down. Otherwise, I would head off to the doc for advice and maybe a tiny unfill.

I hope you feel better soon!

Bronnie I had the same kind of day today. I had my last fill on Wednesday after an partial unfill a month ago because of a similar episode. I've just had liquids for the rest of the day (I found tea and a hot choccie worked, as well as going the Water route). I'm a bit sore, I don't know if thats from the vomiting or if its possibly something more permanent (hope not!). But I planned on doing exactly what Chickie suggested - wait it out until around lunch time tomorrow and if I still have the same results when trying to eat, I'm off for an unfill. I've had my band almost a year now and I find that stress, heat (like drastic changes in weather - I was down the coast today it was HOT) my period, and the time of day I wake up all affect my band tightness. I have also definitely experienced delayed fill effectiveness as my band has been filled more.

Hi Everyone...

Thanks for all the advise.

Now thinking about it... ive been working more hours which caused me stress and tiredness and plus it was that time of the month... that may = the band being a little tighter than i would have liked.

Anyway.. i stuck to fluids for about 36 hours and now im doing well again.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
