Throwing up blood doesn't sound right? That'd be a serious cause for concern. Speak to your doctor ASAP!

You can't treat throwing up blood with prayer. You need medical help or at least consultation for that. Call your surgeon. I know it is the weekend but he should have an after hours answering service that can get in touch with him.

I am ok. They had to change my pain med from dilaudid to morphine because it wasn't lasting long. I'm not on ibuprofen every 6 hours which is the only thing that has been helping with. I have not thrown up blood since last night. I did throw up today but it was broth. No blood thank God. I'm really really sore and I'm drinking hot broth to bring the gas up. Thank you so much for asking.

The first 24-48 hours after are the worst - but it gets better! Just hang in there! I had to stop taking the dilauded because it made me vomit. I'd throw up almost instantly. Glad you're on morphine now - which is actually less strong. Dilauded is 8 times stronger than morphine, but it does wear off quickly (for me anyway).

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
