Sleeved in Sept.

I'm getting sleeved in less than a month! I'm so excited and ready for a new beginning. I'm 5'4, 230 lbs. with HBP, high cholesterol, and 2 bad knees. I can't remember the last time I really felt good. I've done a lot of research and feel at peace with my decision. I have great family support. I'm just worried about old habits that are hard to break. I'm an emotional eater and am afraid of letting myself down again. Thanks for listening.

Wow it sounds like me. I am 6 days post op, and right now its just Protein shakes and Water, I feel hungry and am so afraid of the old habits, like eating way too much at each meal, especially dinner. Right now I just take it hour by hour. Good luck with your surgery.

Hi Sleeved... I got sleeved on May 19. I too was worried about emotional eating. On the 19th of August it will be 3 months post surgery. I am not the least bit sorry about having this surgery. I'm not the least bit ashamed to tell people what I did for me. I've lost about 34 pounds so far. I started at 280 and this morning I was 246. I would never have lost this amount of weight by myself. I know I have a long way to go ... But by golly I'm headed in the right direction.

Good luck with your journey. This is a god send. Make the best choices you can and you will be so happy you did. Peace and love. Sharon
