Relationship Question..?

Recommended Posts

So this maybe completely off subject but I need to ask a question.. I have been with my boyfriend for over a year and I met him on a BBW website and I am afraid that once I do the surgery he will no longer be attracted to me. When I spoke to him about getting the surgery he said he was completely supportive and that his "fantasy woman" is not the only thing he is attracted to me for. I don't know how to feel about this. Before he knew about the surgery he was asking me to gain more weight and I just kept saying no. Now that he knows he is sending me exercise and diet regimens to follow. Does anyone have any advice to shed? I just don't know how much stress this surgery will cause our relationship in the end.

No one can say for sure what will happen but I keep reminding myself that a good relationship will get better, and a bad relationship will get worse. It sounds like he is attracted to bigger women, but that he loves you for who you are. My advice is that he loves you now, and he'll love you after the weight loss also.

It seems like he really loves you the person. The guys that still want a fat woman do everything to derail weight loss. Read around. They dont support and tge bring around bad foods and all the bad favorites. He seems to really love you, enjoy it.

Is he truly supporting you though? Making sure eat right, helping you if you struggle, giving advice, a shoulder to cry on? It's one thing to say that you'll be supportive, but it's another to show it..

I don't think your weight is the ONLY thing he likes about you. Take one day at a time & see what happens. I am kinda in the same boat as you. My bf likes me how I am, but says he is supportive. I have yet to see his support.. Maybe he will show it more once I have the surgery, but then again.. He isn't educated in what I am doing so maybe he isn't sure how to show it.

I wish you the best.

Here if you need a ear.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
