Protein Shake Questions

I am in the process of trying to find a shake that I like. I have never liked chocolate milk or milk for that matter. I am waiting for my surgery date and will need to do my preop diet which includes shakes, then I need them after my surgery. So far I have tried premier protein (strawberry cream) I can only drink about half before it makes me want to barf. jay Robb (strawberry flavor) is just yucky. I got the unjury in sorbet and chicken soup flavor I just haven't tried it yet. I need something that will taste fruity. Can I add frozen or fresh fruits to my shake? Won't that increase the sugar and calories? HELP? Any advice is much appreciated.

I love, love, love, the synthrax fuzzy navel and Caribbean cooler. With unsweetened vanilla almond milk OR this new milk- fairlife skim it has 13g protein, 6 carbs, and 80 calories. These powders have

I too am a Syntrax Nectar fan. The fuzzy navel is like a light refreshing orange julius. It's fantastic mixed with water and served over ice. I also have the wild cherry, apple ecstasy and roadside le

  • After my surgery I could not stomach the protein shakes. My saving grace was Genepro. It will mix in anything hot or cold. It has 30g protein. The serving scoop size is small. I would mix it with crys

My first tub of syntrax nectar arrived this morning and I LOVE it. I bought grape and its just like a drink rather than a protein drink. A plus is that I just added it to water rather than having to put it in the blender so it will be ideal to take out with me to work etc. It was really REALLY lovely !! Without these forums I might never have tried it so THANK YOU :D

If you still have some fruity mixes to share I sure would be interested. I am worrying about the cost of all of these drinks so I would appreciate any help I could get. Let me know. Thanks.

I got the roadside lemonade and it truly taste like lemonade. No after taste! Thanks all. I also get the strawberry/kiwi and the fuzzy navel but haven't tried them yet.

Sure!

Has anyone tried a coffee flavored one that they like?

For coffee flowered I like Chike. And if you want more coffee flavor just add a little instant too. Bazinga!

I have the cappuccino. It is delicious. I am plan on getting the lemonade also. The Caribbean cooler is awesome too.

I tried a GNC brand that I thought I liked for a while until I didn't. I got a sample of unjury from my nut. and loved it. In fact, I started having an unjury shake for Breakfast a couple of months before my pre-op diet (which I am in now).

You might like the strawberry sorbet (which I think you said you have) and can be mixed in Water or crystal light, etc. Also try their unflavored and the chicken Soup. I don't like so much sweetness so the chicken soup has been a life saver. The only problem with unjury is that it doesn't do well in very warm or hot water so you can't make a warm soup or add it to hot tea or coffee. I tried the coffee thing and it was a clumpy mess!

140 degrees or under for the temp. I used a food thermometer to make sure. Anything over that temp was a clumpy mess. I found 140 to be hot enough to enjoy it. Best of luck to you...

@@LisaLouBop , thanks for the tip. I will try using the thermometer. I've learned to enjoy the chicken soup flavor at room temp. I am curious about the suggestion from @@MOMMY2MGM to heat it up....might try it. Thanks ladies!

unjury has a good "starter kit" for a reasonable price - $21.20 + $6.95 s/h

Isopure has an unflavored that I believe is "compatible" with hot food/drink.
