I'm 5 days post op and had the Sleeve and fixed my hernia. I was very fortunate to not have any sore throat, Nausea, vomiting, or soreness after surgery.

My problem is I feel very very weak, I don't know if this is normal. I'm getting in my Protein Drinks and drinking my Water as much as possible. I have to stay on full liquids until Friday and then I can start the puree stage. Can I start this early? I'm wondering if this will help with my feeling exhausted?

Perfectly Normal. Your body has just gone through a major trauma with Surgery and it's trying to heal itself. Get plenty of rest and walk when you can to keep the gas away, but don't try to be a super hero. I and many others I talk to are still struggling with being overly tired and I am 4 weeks out. The most important thing you can do at this stage is sip your fluids ALL day, don't let your glass go empty. Dehydration even slightly can make you feel very tired and weak.

Oh my gosh, 4 weeks out and still tired. I don't think I will survive. lol. I was hoping when I get the the puree stage this would help the weak feeling...It does make me feel better that this is all normal.

Like @ so elequently said, you just had major surgery. You're going to feel like poo for the next month or so. To make matters worse, this surgery requires starvation practically. So yeah. Hang in there. Each week that goes by you will start to feel somewhat human again :)

As the others have said, feeling weak is very normal. Work on getting your Fluid and Protein in. Walk when you can, and rest/nap when you need to. And no, you can't decide to advance a food stage early, feeling weak is not a reason to disregard your doctor's orders. Keep sipping and resting and eventually you will feel better and stronger.

I promise you will survive lol. I just keep thinking of what I'm going to look like in 6 to 12 months and it keeps me chin up. And right now both of them lol

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
