I am right with you. I am six days out too and it is a struggle to "eat" anything and by eat I mean drink and by drink I mean clear fluids which right now I would rather just not. I am forcing myself to do this today. It is just a little while longer. I am planning on eating some Tomato Soup when I can move to full liquids on Thursday. I am going to chew my Vitamins now which I am sure will be the highlight of my day. LOL!

I had a very hard time sticking to liquids after my sleeve. I ate a sandwich 2 days after my surgery!! BUT, I was very sick and I think I may have stretched my sleeve. So be very careful. Try to stick with the liquids.

If you're having a hard time, talk to your surgeons office. I called them after the sandwich nightmare and they told me to try 3 days more of just liquid then move on to add 1/2-1 oz of very soft Protein. I am 13 days out have had yogurt, Peanut Butter, tuna and even chicken.

It's important to remember that everyone is different so be sure to talk to your Dr. but all I keep hearing is "get your Protein and Water, don;t worry so much about the rest."

I feel great

I just had my flup appointment w/my surgeon and the nutritionist (I'm 5 months out) and told the nutritionist that even if I could have slept more while recovering, I got out of bed so I could start drinking. I felt like I was drinking 24/7 and sometimes still could not get all the Water in. It was horrible!! Between the Water and the Protein shakes AND having to drink slowly, it was a pain, BUT it does get better!!

Keep the faith, you will get thru it!!

p.s. I also could not wait to chew something, too!! :-)

It's not uncommon. My full liquid stage was 2 weeks. After week one I wanted to throw every Protein Shake against the wall. Hang in there. Make sure to meet your Protein goals as much as possible, drink your Water and walk. Also make sure you are taking your supplements. Your energy won't return without proper nutrition.

I know that feeling of wanting to chew. I experienced the same thing the first week but it went away. I was sleeved 5/29/15 weighing 305 I'm down to 249 as of today. I been enjoying the puree food since I make it seasoned to my taste (chicken Beans, etc) I been cleared to eat soft food but still have my puree for dinner and continue to have my Protein Shakes.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
