Not well

This is the day after surgery for me and I don't feel good at all. I threw up twice today absolutely nothing. My stomach is sore as hell and I have such pain my chest from gas I feel like my left boob is going to shoot of my chest... Anyone else? Will I feel better?

  • The first 2 days I took everything they would give me... anti-nausea, pain, anything they could put in my IV. I was spitting up bloody foam, and with ice chips I started throwing up foamy pink Water.

Thank you

The first 2 days I took everything they would give me... anti-nausea, pain, anything they could put in my IV. I was spitting up bloody foam, and with ice chips I started throwing up foamy pink Water. I swear on morning three when I was released I was so so so much better. I was in full makeup that morning, sipping some diluted apple juice, and ready to go home. I never had the gas pains with this surgery.... but have had them before and they really make it bad. Walk and try GasX strips... not much else helps, maybe a heating pad when you get home. Day 3 was my total turning point, and every day was exponentially better than the one before. I was back at work full time after one week. It will get better!

I'm one day out and I'm feeling terrible... but manageable. Did your docs give you anything for post surgery recovery?

First 3 to 4 days suck big time. . Then it's ok.. Gas stop chewing pills saved me from pain and coffee

Thanks guys I feel a little better today but I'm not really drinking enough water. I'm scared of barfing

Yes!!! Walk walk walk! When I couldn't really stand i had the nurse bring me a walker while she held my iv pole. Waking helped so much, only if I can pass gas or have a bm I'll be golden
