  5. Hang tough!! It will get easier with each day that passes.
  6. The company that makes Genepro does offer a sample but I believe I paid $4 for it. Totally worth it...can't wait for my big bag to come in!
  7. I too could not handle the flavored protein drinks post surgery. Recently I purchased GenePro unflavored protein powder. I mix it with Crystal Light and don't taste a thing. I have mixed it in scrambled eggs, pudding and soup...Love it!!! They offer a sample pack.
  8. One month today and I'm down 21 lbs. My only problem has been finding a protein powder that doesn't give me a yuck feeling in my stomach. I tried some Whey Isolate and it didn't sit well either. Love the taste of chocolate Premiere Protein shakes but again, it was a no go!! Happy to be sitting on the Losers Bench!!!

  10. My Fitness Pal is excellent!!!
  11. I didn't have the problem before surgery either but worried about it, so I bought some of the flushable wipes thinking it may be easier to get clean...Lol
  12. Sleeved 5/19 in Baton Rouge and have no complaints. Went out to eat tonight for the first time. My husband ate boiled crawfish and I ordered a grilled chicken breast topped with grilled onions and mushrooms. As good as it was, I was only able to eat about 1/4 of it and I was full and satisfied. Didn't feel like I was missing out on anything. Blessed to have such a smooth journey thus far!!! Happy Weekend everyone!!!
  13. thanks gracy, I went out today and bought smallest bowls I could find and a handful of baby spoons and forks. Going to try the smaller bowl for awareness and the small utensils for speed control.. Give some physical form to my mental pictures of what I need to do. See how this goes.. Good luck to you Craig!!!
  14. Sorry to hear you got sick Craig. Maybe have the family start eating while you are preparing your dinner. That way you're in the kitchen with them and by the time your meal is ready hopefully they will be close to finishing. You aren't at the table for any extended period of time watching them eat while you sit. Are you measuring out your portions? Just a suggestion.
  15. I was sleeved on 5/19 and I have been eating solids for about a week. It's only toddler sized portions and I have done well. My goal was to never throw up and so far, I haven't. I haven't experienced a stall yet but I keep waiting for it to happen!!
  16. I'm a little more than two weeks post op and I still sleep with a pillow on my stomach. I don't experience any more pain there but for some reason it's comforting!! #LosersBench
  17. Lea Anne, each day that passes will get easier. I will admit I was tired for the first week.
  18. May 19th here also. I feel wonderful...I truly wish you both felt the same way!! So sorry to hear you aren't feeling well.
  19. Hang in there!! I'm a little over two weeks post op and I feel wonderful. It does get better...I promise!!! Walk, Walk and Walk some more!
