Anyone have issues with dehydration? How long before you contacted doctor. I have been having terrible headaches(x 6days now)and notice my lips are dry. I've been tired easily but I have been getting fluids but obviously not enough. It's so damn hard getting them in between meals. I am 7 weeks out Gastric Bypass. Any suggestions are welcome and appreciated.

I am sure you already know this but the most important thing is getting all your fluids in.

What worked and still works for me is actually sitting with that Water bottle in my hand and sipping on it until I get the whole thing in. I know I have to drink 3 of them to get my 64 oz. in. I do that 3 times per day and then everything else I get is just extra.

If I don't sit with the bottle in hand dipping, I don't get my Water in and even 7 months out I get dehydrated.

After surgery, I found that I no longer enjoyed drinking ice Water. I adapted and started to drink Crystal Light. flavored water tasted better and was easier to get down. Later I began drinking fine teas.

Call them now. I had diarrhea for two days and called and their suggestions cleared it right up. Don't wait, they are experts. In the hospital I was dehydrated and told them and they pumped me with fluids right away. Don't prolong your agony Lol

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.
