I had a fill yesterday. Today I had coffee w/creamer for Breakfast. *cup of Soup at Pepper's restaurant, Cappuccino with sweet n low at movies,

*Tuscan chicken at cafe. *All were mashed and chewed, chewed, chewed. I lost 2 lbs. this past month. I need to exercise but cannot get motivated. plus it is so danged hot outside. I have been painting inside and feel sore from that.

I stopped visiting the forum because I've failed to exercise like the rest of you and started eating what I wanted.

Ddee

One of the exercise things that I have done is Water aerobics at the YMCA. Where I live it is 35 dollars for a 1 year associate membership (only allows you to take classes) and then 30 dollars for 3 months of water aerobics class. It is low impact and cool since it is in the pool. It burns more calories than land exercise and here classes are offered 1-3 days a week.

Thursday: (was tight for some reason - lot of what went in didn't all stay)

B: couple bites queso and multigrain chips

S: malted mocha Protein Shake

L: couple bites crustless quiche, chicken

S: Jerky, cheese

D: malted mocha cheesecake Protein shake

Friday: I was tempted not to even write it down.

B: couple bites cheeseburger w/ grilled onions - no bun

S: that is all I did all night at work :( - carrots & dip, cheese & crackers, chocolate, cheetos :scared2:, etc

D: will be lite chocolate muscle milk around 0600.

I may not end up going to bed till tonight (might be up for 36 hours) and since I only got 3 hrs sleep yesterday - would not be surprised if I ate another meal or 2 by the end of it - will edit post.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.
