My surgery was Tuesday and I'm fighting the gas pains. I've been trying to walk as often as I can hoping to stir it up.

Gas x strips....stat

Exactly 7days post op! Gas pain is worse if I drink my clear liquid or Jello and then drink Water immedaitely after. So now I don't drink water 30 minutes b4 or 30 minutes after this seems to help me alot! My DOC also gave me some type of med for the gas I hate taking it because it has to be crushed and the taste is horrible!

Hope the gas gets better for you!

Keep your head up!

I had my surgery on Monday, luckily I've barely had gas pains. I've been farting (excuse me) with no problems. And if I feel gas in my tummy I take a Gas-x strip. Walking helps as well.

I agree with Twitty, I'm 3 days post-op too, I had a band to sleeve revision with a hernia repair. I am so surprised that the gas pain hasn't been horribly bad, I try to walk as often as I can, just mainly around my house, I do take 2 gas x strips at once every few hours. I mainly feel it when I swallow, I think I'm swallowing air with the small sips, I'd rather drink out of a straw.

We're all in this thing together, I do know for sure it will improve with time. ????????

Can someone tell me how long does the gas pains last and when I'm I going to be able to sleep comfortably in my bed.... I am 4 days post op

I'm alllllmost 2 weeks out and it took me a week and a half. The more I walked to more it "exited" the system! So I tried to walk about 15-20 min, every 2-3 hours.

I'm 2 days post op and the gas x is helping.

I'm 4 days post-op lap band revision to sleeve. The Gas-X strips did nothing for me. Since the first day post-op, I take a sip of water, belch and feel better. Also, walking as much as possible. That really seems to be the big one. I had much worse pain (soreness and gas) after the lap band.

It will get better!!!

Gas x - works ok, also did heartburn melts helped
