I seen a posting on another forum talking about how refunds were not going to be given with people booked with Lopez and it kinda alarmed me. Its alarming because why or what was he doing to operate illegally to start with? Thats kinda scary you know.

Am I wrong or being bias in this? Can someone ask Alex Beecher to give us an update and/or reason behind it?

Id like to hear an explanation, too. I think The article mentioned sanitation issues, outdated equipment and/or lack of maintenance. But hey, when you offer bargain basement prices, you've gotta cut costs somewhere. I'm sure the Mexican medical authorities are just as disgusted with these facilities that feed the stereotype of Mexican health care and Medical Tourism.

This is why research is SO important, and not just reviews from online forums Checking both surgeon AND staff credentials, ratings and certifications of the facility, verifying suppliers, equipment, standard safety precautions, sterilization techniques, drug and anesthetic protocols are just some of the things i checked out before scheduling my surgery at a facility that meets even the highest U.S. standards.

The bigger issue is that if Alex is putting his 'name' on his BariatricPal Deals and calling these guys 'trusted' providers then there has to be some accountability. Otherwise if one of the doctors on there is taking patients deposits and then getting shut down from doing illegal surgeries then what is to say that all of the doctors on the Bariatricpal deal list are not doing the same? Right now anyone that booked with that guy is out of luck with no refunds and he is still being offered by Alex despite the lack of ethics and BariatricPal members that have lost there money.

Its so sad that people don't even do their research correctly and don't stop to think that in Mexico there is more than one Dr Lopez

I know it's a huge coincidence that the name matches. I am here in TJ and just double checked with the Mexican equivalent of the FDA. It's a different Dr. Lopez. I'd never put my name on the line like this if I wasn't 1000% certain. I will be meeting with our Dr. Lopez later today and will post his credentials so you guys can verify as well.
