Marilyn,

I did the same thing :) There was this really cute skirt at Bush Gardens and all they had was a Large (of course by large it fits my cousin who is a size 10) I am a 18 so I hung it over my closet so I see it everyday. I can't wait for the chance to wear it.

Thankyou! I wish I could say I feel fablous but I'm still a little weary and sore. My lungs ache the most, how weird is that? But I did the swallow test this morning and it was all going down perfectly. :)

Hehe, I've been tempted to buy a smaller outfit! I might do it on monday.

...

Anyway, now I'm on Optifast for 4 weeks. How come I'm the only one on it this long? Yum :hungry:

You're not the only one: I'm on medifast for a total of 4.5 weeks. At this point I'm 3 weeks down and 1.5 to go. I'm HUNGRY!!! at times. (To be expected at 300-400 calories per day.) I have had 2 off-diet (I refuse to say cheat) items this week: 1 grape tomoato and 1 cucumber. :) This is a huge NSV for me as previously I've never stuck to a diet before. This is different: it's not a diet, it's a choice to make a lifestyle change.

The next week is going to be really challenging. I'm spending Saturday with my folks all of who will be asking why I am not eating. Sunday night I leave for a business meetin out of town where there will be tons of food constantly. Then after I come back, my sister is visiting. she is supersize and last we talked very threatened by my choice. (She is 50+ lbs bigger than I am and she's (rightfully) afraid that the family will say if I can do it, why can't she.) She and I are close so I hope that we can see this through.

Wish me luck!

Oh and on that 'still sore' note, I just found out that showering/warmth really really really makes a world of difference with muscle soreness. Even if it's just the day after!

Looks like several of us have gone out and bought motivational clothes. I can't wait to post a picture wearing my new skirt. It will probably be a year, but.....I ( we) will get there. Thanks for the support.

Best wishes and prayers to those who have had surgery and those who are having it today. One step at a time. Please all of you that have had surgery, keep us posted, we are proud of you, and maybe a bit jealous.:clap2:

Ses, How are you feeling? I am ok except for a pain in my tummy right under my breast bone. It hurts pretty bad. I hope its just gas. Other than that I feel fine. Maybe I am not walking enough. I will try to do better tomorrow.

Hi wannabethin, I can relate to that. I play golf and am tired of being the largest one that is out there and I've quit going to the pool or beach because I'm so big.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
