So I'm beginning to wonder if my surgeon decided to take as much of my bladder with him as he did my stomach...and made it dysfunctional in the process. Seriously, anyone having baby bladder issues? I'm not drinking very much. Never have been able to come close to the required amount. Just a 15 oz Protein Shake and a 20 oz bottle of Water is all I get in in a day except on a rare occasion when I have two shakes. (I know that's a whole separate issue, but I'm doing ok per my doc as of right now.) Point is, my bladder thinks I need to pee every three minutes (not really that often, but a lot). And if I don't go, it's going to just go for me. It will literally let itself go with absolutely no warning and without me even knowing I needed to go. I have no infections or irritations, so I can't figure out why this is happening. I'll tell you it sure is sexy walking around with a paper towel between my legs to prevent embarrassing mishaps while in public. Forget Victoria ' s Secret. Show me the Depends!

Could you have cystitis? Irritation of the bladder lining. Can be from something your eating or drinking or medication you are taking. Not drinking enough Water can also irritate the bladder. Sounds like you are just out of surgery, maybe get some poise pads to wear for the leaks until it gets better.

If you haven't seen your PCP for this yet, you may wish to. Are you absolutely certain you don't have a UTI? Get it checked before it reaches your kidneys. And force yourself to drink more, try the Water Enhancer drops with your Water. It does help a lot. Good luck to you and keep us informed!

It sounds like you have a bladder infection.

I'm sure no infections. I see doctors of constantly because of all the complications I have had so I know for sure that there's no infections going on. I'm assuming I've simply lost the muscle control there as well since I've lost it everywhere else. I have a neuromuscular movement disorder, so that very well may be taking a toll on my bladder now. Surely the boat load of muscle relaxers my neurologist has me on can't be helping. Just wanted to see if anyone else was experiencing this before I resigned myself to the fact that my neuro stuff was getting worse even though I knew it was. *sigh* At least I have a lot less weight on my body now when my muscles stop working and I fall to the ground. Makes for a lot less heavy fall ;-)

Well, NO WONDER you have incontinence! I'm glad it isn't an infection, but with the situation you have, keep an eye on it so it doesn't turn into one. Will you be able to stop the muscle relaxers soon? I sure hope things get better for you soon, I think I'll have me a little chat with the good Lord above, and see what He can do for you...you're in my prayers!

I experienced the same thing and I ended up with a kidney infection. Antibiotics cleared it right up.

So sorry to hear. I actually had the opposite result. I had a rather urgent bladder prior to surgery and wrote it off to getter a little older.

It's totally gone with the weight loss.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
