I've been in a stall for awhile. I go up-down 3 lbs. No biggie. I've been busting my butt the last week exercising. I walked 9 miles yesterday, 8 the day before. Did yoga for the 1st time and some ballet warm-ups. Really pushing myself. I finally broke thru the stall. Down 3 lbs!!! Yay!!!

I just did my daily weigh...I have gained the 3 lbs back!!! Wwwhat?

There's not a part of my body that isn't sore. Even my hair hurts :/

That's why I only weigh twice a month. There will inevitably be daily fluctuations due to all sorts of factors, but remember that if you are exercising and keeping to an eating plan they won't be anything to do with gaining fat. You have to eat around 3,500 extra calories to put on a pound of fat, so you didn't eat an extra 10,500 calories in one day to put on those 3lb did you? Very unlikely! Also remember that muscle weighs heavier than fat, but takes up less space pound for pound, so the advice to check your measurements is good, but I wouldn't do that every day. I work on a Saturday and wear the same pair of formal pants each week and even when I don't feel any lighter or smaller they have been getting looser even during a stall. I have had a couple of stalls, but as I only weigh twice a month never once have I got on the scales and found I've gained.

Keep up the exercise, sounds like you are doing brilliantly.

I do measure but I've misplaced my note from right before surgery with my before stats. I don't normally freak out weighing daily. Stalls don't bother me. It's just I've tripled the amount of exercise and was hoping to break the stall. I was just bummed that it didn't stay the same.

I weighed at 5 minutes to midnight, gained 3 lbs. I weighed again when I woke up at 5 am, back down 2 lbs.

If you weigh at the same time each day (within a couple of hours), you'll get more consistent results. But weighing at night and in the morning had always been a big difference on my scale too. I normally try to weigh when I get up before eating/drinking and with nothing on. The scale can swing 5 pounds in the course of a day and that's normal.

I weigh first thing every morning...and I have to not let it put me in a bad mood if I don't like the number. I can retain 2-3 pounds of Fluid sometimes. If you've been watching your calories and moving those numbers will show it eventually.

A stall is no weight change **up or down** for three weeks. You are experiencing normal weight fluctuations. I regularly fluctuate 2-3 pounds from AM to PM.

Increased exercise is good but muscle retains Water after a workout and it weighs more in volume.

Use the scale as a guide, not as an overall indication of your health. Measure weekly or just let your loosening clothes be your guide.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
