Starting a new chapter in my professional life

I've been thinking the same thing! I'll likely be moving to Ohio within the next year and when I do, no one there will know I was ever fat!

Im almost in the same boat as you . Im just waiting on the final stage of the interview process with my possibly new employer .. Its very exciting to be starting a new chapter in my life where i can walk, where people wont have known me when i was huge, don't get me wrong, i still have some way to go before i hit goal, but i honestly feel like the world is at my feet and all i need to do is take that plunge and start to really enjoy life for what it is!! I thank God for giving me a second chance at LIFE every single day!

The new head of my department only knows how I look now...not what I used to look like. So when he complimented me recently, it meant alot as it wasn't in reference to looking good as compared to before....but just for looking good...or should I say professional. FYI, the comment was not inappropriate in any way..lol.

I too am starting a whole new life where the people I meet will not know that I was once morbidly obese. I keep wondering what that will be like. I am moving states in less than a week and will begin applying and interviewing for jobs.

Oh darn, that means I will have to go shopping for clothes and shoes to where so that I look great!
