Good Morning from not so sunny Poole.

I am month 2 with Weigh Ahead on my journey for gastric op.

Mixed feelings as my weight has gone on due to needing bilateral hip replacement , which they won't do whilst my bottom is this size. I have dieted before and I had to do lots of exercise before to keep it off, since becoming less active it has gone back on.

I met a lovely lady in Bournemouth Hosp Tues and I hope your op went well x

She recommended this site to me.

I am a sugar at night time eater. Not a fried food freak , rarely drink but cake and chocolate are my downfall.

Thanks for reading.

I had gastric bypass two months after hip replacement. I am right at a month post op and down 25 pounds from day of surgery. My hip is still healing but most days there is little pain. The RNY post op frankly has been breeze in comparison to the hip. I'm likely gonna have the left hip done in the next year....I know it will be a lot better recovery with out the extra weight.

Good luck on your surgery. I have a sweet tooth too. The process really educated me on the different types of sugars and what types to stay away from. So much of the food I consumed prior to surgery was infused with loads of processed sugars.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
