Please Tell Me It Gets Better...

Recommended Posts

Have you tried to puree your foods you are trying to eat? I tried to just smash my food up with my spoon and that was not good enough I had a hard time getting it down but after I started to puree them I have no more issues. I just take a can of fat free refried Beans add some Water to thin them out and puree until the texture of baby food and so far it has worked for me. I am new to this too I just had my surgery on 2/27 but so far have been doing good.

The smell of food makes me sick to my stomach so I rarely get to the mashing of food because being around it makes me want to vomit.

I am so sorry you are going thru this. I hope your Dr. can figure out what is going on and you are able to get some food down and keep it down.

Yes, I promise. It gets better, in fact, it gets great. What you are experiencing is common. Look on the positive side: you are rapidly losing and you are not going back to your bad behaviors. And yes you will eat meals again. But food will not control your life. You will eat to live, not live to eat. It feels great.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
