Hi everyone, I'm exactly a week out today and feel great. I had absolutely NO nausea at all and I'm doing just fine. I'm down 10 lbs as of today and have been living in crystal light and popsicles to say the least, Jello hurts my tummy and don't care for chicken broth so I've only had 2 cans within the week. No Protein at all nor am I on any Vitamins, Idk if that's a good thing tho. Got lots of energy, been driving since Thursday last week. Idk tho this is scaring me, I've stopped the pain meds since Thursday also and have only been taking the other 2 prescriptions I was given. My hubby tells me I'm moving too fast, but I'm full of energy and can't keep still. My only downfall is I've been craving some McDonald's fries! Lol...otherwise all is well.

I had no issues either. The only thing that I am dealing with now is heartburn. Cravings...Pizza. I feel as though I am infitrated by pizza everywhere i turn but then I am at a place where I am kind of hating food. Im glad you are doing well. keep me posted.

Lol...pizza! I am also craving it...I am 10 days out and also feeling great..had a little nausea at beginning but only lasted a couple days. I have been on Protein drinks since the hospital and are very tired of them ...can't start real food until 3 weeks out .

But I've been out walking dog since the day I got out of hosputal...shopping..cooking...doing housework...it's great watching the scale...and my tight jeans aren't as tight haha

Hi! I'm exactly one week out also. Most of the pain is gone in my stomach. I'm also going without pain medications. I'm exercising daily, just walking but today I went for an hour straight! That was awesome. Still on full liquid diet, today was my first chicken bone broth...can you say yuck?? But 14 grams of Protein. Today is also the first time I'm on a set schedule for all my medications and Vitamins. I've lost 8.6 this week. I'm also sick of the constant liquid, but I can live with it for one more week. My full liquids allowed me some cream of wheat today so that was crazy! But better than another shake!

Keep up the hard work all. I'm planning to finish dusting my house!

Great! You guys kno what I'm talking about. I was wondering what was going on with my body! Now I want to start introducing other stuff into my diet. I was on another site and saw that in week 2 you could have nonfat yogurt, sugar free sorbet, and watered down applesauce. I bought all those at the grocery store yesterday but haven't tried any. I think I will wait until after my follow up appt tomorrow.

I am one week PO today also. I'm down 8lbs since surgery and on a full liquid diet. I see my surgeon Friday for my follow up. He warned me not to introduce any foods until I saw him for my follow up. I'm sticking to his rules. I feel great no pain or anything. Just trying to get back in the swing of things

Hi all i'm 5 days post op and have been really lucky. Never needed meds for pain nausea or gas since leaving the hospital. Most days i get 48 ozs of Fluid but struggle with the Protein. I would say i get about 40 grams a day. My NUT wanted me to drink Isopure but it was awful

Now i been living on g2 with half a scoop of unflavored. I tried the chicken broth but hated that too. Now once a day my great husband goes to our local chinese place and gets me a quart of the broth they use for wonton Soup. I drink 3 times a day with unflavored protein added. Its yummy. I also drink plain Water. Been walking about 30 minutes a day. Wishing us all a speedy recovery

I'm a week out today, fairly good. Although I crash for a nap everyday. I have been having thin Soups, Protein Shakes and Isopure drinks to make my Protein goals each day. However, I will say getting in all the Water is tough. Also, I don't know about you guys but I'm hungry!!! My belly even seems to do the hunger rumble once in a while. It's doing it right now- I'm sipping more water to quell the feeling.

Ohh - my husband does the same thing with the wonton soup. My little guy eats the wontons, and I drink the broth!

Did you try to make your own chicken broth is super easy, you control salt and to me taste way better. It's soo easy, try it!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
