Banded 2 months and don't know.

I hope someone can explain this to me. My doctor said I have a regular 10 band which holds 4ml. Is that the same as the 4cc band? I have been filled 2cc's.

Can someone explain??

You said you had 3 cc in your first fill, in a 10 cc band. How did that go for you, were you able to eat that much? My doc said filling to fast probly is'nt a good thing, I was just currious on how that fill was working for you. I have the smaller band but I only have 1.4cc in my band and I have been banded for almost 4 months with a 43 LB. loss so far, I am half way to goal. good luck!

There is a 9.75cm band that holds 4cc / ml of Fluid, and a 10cm band that also hold 4cc/ml.

My guess is that you have the 10cm 4cc/ml band.

Yes, the VG band (it's not called the Vanguard any more for a legal reason, I think) holds 10cc / ml of Fluid.< /p>

Hi, I'm sorry I have no idea about your question, however, I would really like to talk with you. I see you were banded at Cincy weight loss center and that is where I will be going. I would love to hear about your experience with them if you wouldn't mind sharing. You can PM me anytime. Thanks!

So far so good. I really do feel alot of restriction i sure hope it is normal. I have not had any pbing but there is like a little knot in my throut. Everything goes down ok though. I was banded April 30th 2007 and i have lost 30lbs so far and i could bet money i will lose alot more with this thight fill LOL. Oh and i just got the new Khaliah Ali book Fighting weight in the mail yesterday from amozon.com. And this girl is simply amazing .she was banded in 2004 and has lost like 150lbs. It' a great read. I'm down to the last 20 pages and i'm not a reader. It really lets you know how this band works. And i am more motivated than ever.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
