A Nsv!

I have brought out more of my winter clothes and many are too big! I look like I'm wearing my father's clothes. What a great problem. Only issue, I don't want to waste money on new clothes which will also be too big shortly. Oh, what a lovely dilemma.

Congratulations on your non-scale victory!!!! I think MANY of us will have this same dilemma when we pull out the winter clothes in the next few weeks... at least I hope I do :D

DebW, isn't that a GREAT problem to have? I've lived in drawstring shorts and t-shirts this summer. When I do buy, I just try to buy basics - solid color jeans, slacks, and a variety of tops. Then I can mix and match. And someone's always having a sale. Just don't buy too many because you'll be needing something smaller before you know it!

Congratulations! Isn't it fun? I just broke down and bought some winter clothes. Now if the temperature would just drop below 90 here. . .

Isn't it great to toss your "big" clothes in a box to get rid of? Except for the favorites, of course. I'm trying to make all my new purchases clothes that I really, really like so they will all be favorites. I just hope I can keep them for a little while.

Congrats Deb,that is the BEST nsv!!!

If you don't have issue with gently used clothes...

I go to a shop called Value Village here in Ottawa.I can get designer clothes for more than half price!!

I love people telling me "Really Chantal, you really NEED to get some clothes that fit!"and it's because my clothes are too baggy!!

I can pull down all my pants from before my weight loss without unzipping them..I LOVE IT!!!

I've stopped losing pounds, I'm at one of my "comfort weight" plateau's, but find my clothes are getting baggier... how weird is that?

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.
