Isn't it great? I also love the roasted red pepper Tomato Soup in a box. Also try a slice of avocado mashed with Greek

Those savory flavors are certainly heaven after all the sweet drinks! I went gang busters in full liquid stage....mixed unflavored Protein Powder in every Soup I could find. Butternut squash, lobster bisque, cream of asparagus, cream of shrimp, broccoli cheese, French onion, portobello mushroom.... If it had chunks, I just diluted a little with milk or Water, pureed and strained it. Made the same thing in Pureed stage, minus the straining, so added in vegetable beef soup, split pea, clam chowder and other thicker varieties.

Surgery is over I am home. I didn't know if I was going to survive the surgery. When they started my heart rate shot up to 165 and they had to put the panels on me to keep my heart in ryth em

Now at home I want something to eat instead of Water and broth.< /p>

I've been on full liquids since Monday. It's so nice!

I can only have creamy Soups san chunks and Tomato Soup, really. I asked about a butternut squash one I bought, but was told it was too food-like. So, I'm jealous of your Soups, but excited about mine.

I can have sugar-free pudding though, and it's awesome!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
