Hello Miranda: So glad everything went well and you're feeling great. Here's to the liquid stage....I asked Jill if gin and tonic was considered a clear Fluid but no go..:)

I'm on full fluids and pretty soon I'm sure I'll be floating away....:)

Gin and tonic is not on the list!?!? Forget it im not doing this! :)

Well 1 more day of clear for me. Ask me how excited I am to have fat free pudding! That will soo be the highlight of the day.

So how do you feel about going on to this stage? Are you like me who just wants to eat something...anything....a peice of something!?!?

To be honest it has not been the end of the world though. Mr. Yoda has given some great recipies for pureed that I have to say I am looking forward to....ok did I really just say that!?!?!

I am feeling great. A bit moody sometimes. Today I yelled at my necklace bc it would not fit on the clasp. I was like ooohhhhh kkkkk thats enough!

But ya feeling good...ran some errands today and relaxing.

I am already down 17 lbs!! Thats from pre op diet and on..Can you believe it!?!? I am pretty happy about that..it can only get better and better!

Ok so here we are 10 days after surgery...im hungrey!!!!!!!!! I am still on Full Fluid. It soooo sucks. I go to puree on Thursday.

Like someone mentioned it b4 and I will agree....I am soo obsessed with food right now. its all I want and think about. Even food I hated b4 the surgery look sooo good to me know. I just want to have a little something something.

The last few days have been rough. Had a work thing on Friday. Everyone went to Mandrain for lunch. I just went home during luch hour. There was a BBQ this Sat and Sun. It smells soooooo good. Just one bite! What would be the damage...thats what runs through my head a zillion time a day.

Rough patch right now! Getting through it though!

Miranda,

I know the 'can't stop thinking about food thing" all i want to do is eat! I'm not even hungry though, i have one serving(1/2 cup) of Soup in the morning, some juice for lunch and then some pudding for dinner! And I'm basically just have this for the flavor!

I soo agree with you on the conrtaption we lay on..When I walked in I was like "what...that's not an operating table like on greys anatomy, are they doing a pap aswell??" You should have seen the fight I put up when she opended the back of the gown "But...my butt will be bare." She was very nice in letting me do it discreatly.

Well puree for me tommorow!!!! I talked to the new staff Rosanne at TLBC today. Shes awesome and from Oshawa like me!! She told mje the food does not have to be super pureed. Like I thought I had to puree scrambled eggs, cottage cheese etc. She said no just chew really good. So im soooooo excited for tommorow!!!

What shall I have first!!?!? :(

Confafo...im not so sure you can have 1/2 cup of Soup in one shot. I would have like 1/4 cup juice, 1/4 cup of pudding and 1/4 protien drink at each meal. That would fill me up (i guess :D the best it could. So that may help with the hunger.

That was so funny about the chair in the operation room. When she told me to lay down I was trying to hold the gown in all the right places. She was like "ok so just open the back". I said "well then you ight see my bum". She laughed and said "oh we will be seeing alot more later"

I was like huhhhh. lol.

I know what you mean. I asked if my legs were going to stay so far apart and she said yes, the doctor sits between them. Poor guy!!

Yes, the contraption was something, eh? I was "lucky" I got to keep my panties on (TOM). Apparently, that happens quite a bit - you can't predict Mother Nature.

Also, the nurse mentioned that the anesthesia can bring it on right after surgery. I thought I would have major cramps and just feel awful the entire time, but I guess the pain killer that they give you takes away everything since I didn't have any cramps at all.

Didn't it the stuff burn going up your arm, eh? Good thing it knocks you out seconds later.

The doctor sat where!?!?!? I sooo didnt know that. I actually didnt want to ask.

I didnt feel any pain at all. All I thought while I was lying there is "what the hell am I doing right now"

I didnt even flinch when he put the needle in.

Crazy how the mind wonders in crazy situations :)

Ain't that chair the funniest thing? When I walked in the OR I told the nurses that they had the wrong room because even though I had a big belly I was not about to deliver...

And then they told me the Dr was going to sit between my legs....my last words before I went off to la-la land was "thank God I waxed...I'm Italian you know" - apparently they all got a good chuckle out of that one (but I honestly don't remember saying it)..go figure!!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
