Full liquids 5 days post op

Hi, I am wondering if anyone started full liquids at 5 days post op? I have had no problems with my sleeve so far and I'm drinking like it's going out of style, but I'm tired of clear liquids. And I'm so hungry. I just want to try a yogurt or protein shake.

I was allowed to drink full (but thin enough to drink through a straw [but don't]) liquids on day 2. But since every surgeon uses different techniques it's really important to follow your own surgeon's guidance, rather than following what others have done. I'd recommend calling your surgeon's office to ask if you can progress earlier than what they initially advised. I hope they'll agree!

Full liquids began day 3 for me. Puree day 9.

I started full liquids at 6 days out.

I think that honestly, it's trial and error. I scrambled an egg on day 5 and it's been no issue for me to keep advancing. Just listen to what your sleeve is telling you and all will be good.

I had protein shakes and puréed food in the hospital only way I was allowed to be discharged was if I kept it down. Protein shakes are still liquids as long as you're not putting fruit in it. You can call your surgeon but I don't see why not. I think it's torture what some surgeons make their patients do, doesn't make any sense at all.
