  1. When were most people able to tolerate tortillas or bread? I was sleeved 2/23 and am down about 80 lbs. I have a hard time with really dry meat and have really limited my diet out of fear of feeling sick and throwing up. Any advice would be most appreciated!
  2. I'm 2 months out and want to try a wrap of some sort...did anyone have problems with tortillas? When were you able to start eating them?
  3. The gluten free pizza went down okay. But I primarily at the toppings.
  4. Has anyone tried Dominios gluten free pizza? Did it go down okay? We're having a party at work tomorrow and they're ordering pizza and I'm trying to see what others have tried and been successful with. Any suggestions or recommendations?
  5. My surgeon called in compazine which makes me nauseous as well. I can get yogurt down occasionally and mashed potatoes down occasionally. Anything that is remotely nutritious, i.e. Chicken, veggies, is a no go for me. Eggs? Forget about it. My surgeon has been great and has tried me on a couple of anti-nausea pills but none of them have really worked. I'm going to have my gallbladder looked at when I go in at the beginning of April.
  6. The smell of food makes me sick to my stomach so I rarely get to the mashing of food because being around it makes me want to vomit.
  7. Can I ask what types/brands of protein drinks you've tried. Also is it the sweetness that you dislike? Are you on full liquids? Have you tried protein waters instead? You need to explore alternative ways to get in your protein. if you are truly miserable, you should call your nutritionist and talk to them. I'm on a modified diet. I can pretty much eat anything I want, or I could if I could get it down. I've tried protein water but I don't like the taste. I've tried a variety of Protein Shakes but none have done the trick.
  8. I am 4 weeks out today and I have to say I'm pretty miserable. I rarely eat. I choke down my protein shakes. I've literally tried everything and it makes me vomit. The only thing that is keeping me alive is water and graham crackers. I don't know how much more I can take. I'm happy with my weight loss (32 lbs) but will I ever be able to have a meal again? At this point I'd settle for just about anything. Please tell me this gets better.
  9. I'm in the same boat and I'm 4 weeks out today. I pray it gets better.
  10. I got one, but my doctor gave me a diflucan and it cleared up right away.
  11. I was sleeved on 2/23 and the smell of everything makes me sick to my stomach. I am only able to eat yogurt, mashed potatoes, and broths. Please tell me this gets better. I have the desire to eat but can't. Even when I try, it makes me vomit or want to vomit. Anyone experience this?
  12. Congratulations! Keep up the good work.
  13. I slipped up during my pre-op diet. The Friday before my Monday morning surgery I had a salad and 2 pieces of pizza. I had a successful surgery and my recovery has been great.
  14. I tried scrambled eggs. I got about two bites in and now I feel completely nauseous. Is this normal? I did fine all last week with cream soups and greek yogurt but today everything has made me sick to my stomach.
  15. Hi All. I was sleeved on 2/23 and I am allowed to begin soft foods today. I have eaten about 2 bites of a banana and it didn't go well. It felt like it got stuck half way down and I could feel it in my chest for a while. Any tips on transitioning for full liquids to soft foods?
  16. I started full liquids at 6 days out.
  17. I'm losing about a pound a day. I started my pre-op liquid diet at 276.1 on 2/16 and I weighed in today at 257.1. I was sleeved on 2/23. You're doing fine, just stay the course.
  18. I was sleeved on 2/23 and the only activity I do is walk. My largest incision is still sore and it still hurts to cough and laugh. I go for a follow up today, I'll let you know what he says.
