I'm STARVING!

I am on day 4 of my 7 days of pre-op liquid diet. I have been so proud of myself, I have done so well. I have not been tempted and not really had any hunger. Well today is the day of the week when the office orders in lunch and smelling people's food has started it. Im STARVING!!!! My stomach is growling and I just want to cry. This is horrible. HELP!!!!!

I'm glad I am not the only one! I am on day two and have been hungry all day. The shakes just don't give me that satisfied feeling. So I am drinking more and more water! :-) We can do it!

  • I'm on day 3 of 10. This morning I stepped on the scale (with reluctance) and showed a 5lb loss and that has helped today. The first 2 days were rough, but it seems to be getting a little easier. Havi

You can do it! Just keep remembering what its all for. You got that!

I thought the pre-op diet was the most difficult part of this journey so far so stay strong. Good luck

here is a hint or help as you will, get some of the flavorless fiber additive like benefiber ( store brands are cheaper) but add two teaspoons to your shake mix when you make em, and you will stay fuller much longer ( and avoid binding up n'cest pas?)

Stick to it and if you are allowed an extra shake then drink it. The protein will help with the hunger and when you go for surgery at a lower weight and BMI you will be happy you did. Good luck. Most of us know the feeling!

Im on day 4 of 14. The first 3 days were hard and today is a little easier. Sometimes I just want to give up and say hey I can lose weight on my own then I think if I could I wouldn't be having surgery. This is definitely one of the hardest things I have ever done. I can only have Protein shakes and sugar free stuff. Im hungry!!!! At least so far I have lost 7 pounds. Hows everyone else doing?

I'm almost done with my Day 1 ....... surgery is in 14 days.... I think my family is just hoping I don't go postal soon from the hunger and light headedness..... Already hating these shakes, even though they are all different brands....

I made it thru!!! I seriously thought I was going to have to excuse myself to my car for a few minutes to get away from the smells and just cry. I genuinely hadn't been hungry at all before then. But that was AWFUL!! Once it passed I was ok. Vi was even able to sit with my coworkers and have my sugar free Popsicle while they had cheesecake (my favorite thing in the WORLD) for a birthday celebration. Surgery is Monday, I keep telling myself it will get better bit by bit after that.

@@judi48 I am on day 4 of 14. It is hard but just remember we are so close to that surgery finish line. We can do this!
