Snowed IN

Recommended Posts

I realize those north of us have much more snow, but because KY. is not used to this type of weather it is often ill prepared to deal with 18 inches of snow, and -17 degrees so forgive me if anyone is reading this and laughing at me because you have 6ft or something. Anyhow, my treadmill broke, and at this point in my "Banded life" it is the more useful tool to combating my weight to make matters worse my husband tried to fix it, and now I believe it really is unfixable, I am so bummed, you see I didn't purchase this treadmill, I won a trip to Chicago off shopyourway.com and got to take a 1,000 dollar shopping spree with Sandra Lee at K-mart and this was one of my cherished items. I am currently using my Wii Fit free step mode and Hula hoop game to get excersize but I barely break a sweat. BOO HOO Poor me, I am having a pity party. :(

Is it under warranty? Perhaps you can someone in to give you an estimate on how much it would cost to fix. Good luck...I know how much we depend on our exercise routines...the Y I go to was closed on Monday due to a Water pipe breaking. I was bummed because I expected to go to my Water exercise class and couldn't.

I'm in Shelbyville so I feel your pain on the snow. I just got stuck trying to get into my driveway from the road which is still snow covered. And now our weather guy is saying freezing rain on top of it for the weekend.

@@kyrickchick64 say it isn't so, maybe we could all go ice skating. @@gowalking The warranty has expired, and what is upsetting me so bad is my stepdad was going to look at it, he is much handier than my dh about mechanical things, he was going to look at the belt, my husband though took a knife and cut the belt a little and the whole thing came apart, it cost 150 to replacae the belt, I paid 300 for it on sale (well it was free technically) for another 150 I could probably just get a brand new one. I am feeling better I did the free run on Wii where you run in place and that actually kicked my butt, I don't usually jog and am surprised I was able to endure it that long, then I followed it by free stepping and my favorite snow ball fighting, plus Ive done quite a bit of house work today, I just needed some whine time. :)

Y'all are making me feel bad, LOL! Dallas has been gorgeous, relatively speaking. Hi of 64 today, alleged low of 39, but it was probably 59-60 most of the day. And I haven't walked or anything! Normally I walk about 3-4 miles Mon-Fri because I pick my son up from school and then walk several blocks after i drop him off. But I just can't seem to get motivated to walk on the weekends. And they are saying we might get snow on Monday. I guess I should get motivated, quick!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
