So I am about to begin my diet before surgery. I need an idea of what shakes to buy. The Dr office says I need to buy there's but they are very expensive. What and where. Please

I like Unjury Chocolate Splendor. They are online.

Another good option if you don't have time to order on-line is Syntrax nectar chocolate Truffle. You can purchase this from the Vitamin Shoppe. They have tons of flavors. Below is a link to their website The store will honor their on-line prices.

I just did musle milk & water with Lemon juice or tea with no sugar & my small salad with either ground chicken or lean ground beef the dressing I mixed vinegar & lemon juice to my liking , I know the dressing doesn't sound good but you get used to it , so 2 muscle milk a day & I could have the tea or water as much as I wanted but could only do the salad for dinner for 2 weeks , read the pre op diet papers your Surgeon gave you & go from what they recommend , I didn't know about the Isopure drink till later but I like the Alpine punch Isopure now , I also found a drink like muscle milk called core it's really good , good luck.

if you go with muscle milk, use muscle milk light, regular muscle milk is loaded with sugar and carbs. try the Syntrax packets that way you can sample several flavors. heres my rule of thumb if its vanilla chocolate or strawberry creme, use lowfat or skim milk, if its a fruit flavor then use Water. also you can see my video taste tests of many flavors and varieties on my blog at http://cuttingthefatwithaknife.blogspot.com

Personally, I'd either buy their shakes or ask them which ones they suggest. In my personal experience, my doctor's shakes weren't any more expensive than the ones I can get at the grocery store. Think about it ... 2 or 3 shakes a day for 2 weeks. That's expensive no matter WHERE you get it from. Talk to your doctor.

Syntrax are all great, if you love coffee, vitamin shoppe has a great Java pro with 100 calories and 16 grams of protein. I also love coco protein from vitamin shoppe. Good luck!
