I don't know why but getting on the scale this morning and seeing 248 made me so happy!!

For me starting this journey at 314, 240 just seems so little to me. I know that it isn't and I know I still have a ways to go, but I am trying to enjoy the journey and my little victories. Especially that at one point in my life my highest weight was 324. :o

Someone posted in a youtube video to "Trust the Process" That is what I am trying to do. Trying to do everything I can to be successful at this. I am perfect....Oh Hell NO! But my main focus is getting in my Protein, my liquids and my exercise.

Besides all the positives that I have seen in me the other great thing is my mom, who lives in NY but visits regularly, has been doing a great job of losing her weight too. She wants to get off another 15lbs to get back to where she was when she had her first knee surgery and she is well on her way. We have been encouraging each other and I am so proud of her.

Just wanted to share on this beautiful Tucson morning! Hope this post finds you all having a great day!! :D :) :D :)

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
