Where in Jersey are you? I'm in the northeast and I know they are talking 1-2 feet .

I am in Middlesex County, right in the middle of the state.....under a blizzard warning with 12-24 inches possible.

Well the hospital must stay open. Hospitals don't close. So that's not the issue.

Id be more concerned on surgeon and anesthesiologist.

How far are they traveling to the hospital? They may postpone you but can't see it being more than a day or two. Call first thing in the morning

My surgery has officially been postponed by the storm. I am very emotional. The surgeon called and said we had to reschedule (at the earliest) Friday. Probably next week. She said I could be less strict on the pre-op until then because I'd done so well. I'd rather just be sleeved.

Sorry to hear it @@greatestnameever hopefully you'll be rescheduled sooner rather than later. We've waited so long, that even a little longer seems brutal. Wishing you the best

I was supposed to have my surgery Tuesday morning, I spoke to my surgeon today and it will most likely be postponed till Thursday. My procedure was at a surgical center and not a hospital so I an sure that plays a part. He was worried about roads, the parking lot, and possible power outages. I'm trying not to stress out get to bummed out it is only two extra days.... good luck to you

I'm sorry you guys. It's only a delay. You got this. Most of you have waited this long a couple days will be a snap.

I'm so sorry that your surgery has been postponed. I know you've had this date circled on your calendar for weeks, now. Just trust that delayed isn't the same as cancelled and this curve ball that Mother Nature has thrown is just the last event in the saga that leads you back to good health and a new life.

Patience. Peace. Hope. Faith.

@@greatestnameever - I'm truly sorry for you and others having your surgeries postponed due to the storm. I realize how frustrating it must be to be prepared for a certain date and then have that changed.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
