YOU could make it happen for the ONE person who needs your kidney. And ONLY you because yours is the only one that will work.

Since you have repeatedly said that women don't have the right to bodily autonomy - you must give up the kidney. You don't have the right to say no. The person will die without it. They need you and because women must give their bodies to whomever needs them, give up the kidney.

Or, simply admit the truth - you want OTHER women held to a standard that you refuse to be held by.

Seeing that the mom of the unborn baby is the ONLY one who decides the babys fate, she and she alone will make that decision to kill it or not. In the case of the kidney: It is not the responsibility of all mankind to save others lives when they are dying from a bad kidney. If we can help and choose to do so we can. It IS the mother of an unborn babys responsibility to help her own baby survive. God has placed every parent with the responsibility to care for their own children. If they don't the scripture says that they are worse than an infidel. (1 Timothy 5:8)

Exactly! Also if God loves babys why would he demand the first born killed? To make a point to one man? Also do you realize that we are all infidels...? Your God is soundsing horrible in you words, just so you know...you are not making me want to run to god with my arms wide open, but rather run away from him with my mouth wide open...screaming!!!

An infidel is an unbeliever, so we are not all infidels.

When and where did God demand the firstborn killed to make a point to one man?

Just so you know, I couldn't make you want to run to God even if I tried. Only you and God can do that. If you don't like or approve of God and what he has to say and what he does to get mans attention, that is totally up to you.

That's right an unbeliever...you know that's what they call us over in Iraq? we are all infidels to someone elses religion! You don't just get to coin that name because you believe it should only be used if they are a non believer in your religion...and yes no matter what you say Chrisianity IS a religion. And hmmm...I think most of us know the story of Moses...if not go ahead and rent The Prince of Egypt :( lol You are pushing your god in my face every chance you get, and I know as well as you know that is not what your god wants of you!!!

I'm not pushing God into your face. Just having a dialogue.

In the story of Moses, God gave the unbelieving Egyptians many, many chances to repent and turn to him. It didn't begin with the plague of the firstborn, it began with other plagues he sent. His motive was for the people to turn to him, recognize that He was God and repent. If they had, he would have happily gave them his forgivness and an eternal home with him on that day. Judgment on the firstborn represented judgement on the entire community. (since all the dreams and and plans of the father were bound up in his firstborn son at the time, who received a double share of the family estate when the father died.) Even though God put on them all of these plagues, even the last one which killed their sons, they still refused to acknowledge Him as God and their creator. (BTW, God did not put these plagues on his own children, those who acknowledged him by putting the blood from a lamb on their doorposts) This is a great example of mans stubborness in refusing to accept God as the one who made them. (Man is still stubborn today.)

You are not having a dialogue with me...you talk AT people not to them! So if it's good slaughtering people that's okay, but when a woman aborts her fetus its murder? According to the bible we are all gods children no matter what...those children did nothing wrong so god was killing the innocent and in your bible I'm pretty sure that's a sin!

Every life on this earth was given and taken by God's doing. EVERY life. He is the AUTHOR of life. He may decide who lives and who dies. He has that right. HE IS GOD. You or anyone else for that matter, can not. You don't have that right. No one does. Only God can do as he deems fit with his own creation.

To address the "we are all God's children" thing that you like to say.... No we are NOT all God's children. Only those who believe in him are his children. The rest are his creation. Once you choose to accept Him as your Father, you then become his children.

Thank you for bring this scripture to everyone's attention. I've been telling everyone for a long time that adoption is absolutely not the answer to an unwanted, unplanned pregnancy!

Seeing that the mom of the unborn baby is the ONLY one who decides the babys fate, she and she alone will make that decision to kill it or not.

And you are the only one who can make the decision to donate your kidney and save this person's life.

In the case of the kidney: It is not the responsibility of all mankind to save others lives when they are dying from a bad kidney. If we can help and choose to do so we can.

It IS the mother of an unborn babys responsibility to help her own baby survive.

how is it any different? Are you saying people only have an obligation to save the lives of their blood relations? That's coldblooded cruelty.

You freely admit that people don't have the responsibility to let other use their bodies to survive. Yet, you yank that very same right away from women- but only women you've decided are worthy of the same rights as other humans.

this is misogyny. Nothing more.

God has placed every parent with the responsibility to care for their own children. If they don't the scripture says that they are worse than an infidel. (1 Timothy 5:8)

If you believe god made all humans, then they all his children. So, then are you worse than an infidel for not doing what you claim other women are supposed to do - give your body as life support to another? Or, are actual people they less deserving of life than you because their not related to you?

Are you pro-life or not? So far, you've proven that you're pro-life when you can attack and shame someone else, and pro-choice when it comes to yourself.

this is no surprise to me, of course. I've volunteered in women's clinics before. The most vocal anti-abortion protesters out front always sneak their daughters in the back door for abortions.

Do you know how many atheists are made simply by people reading the bible? A lot. I, myself, among them. Reading - really reading - the book that all my life I'd been told was the divine word of God, the authority on morality, the place to go to find answers - made me an atheist. Or, to be more clear, started me down the path to atheism.

No god who behaves and demands as the bible god does is worthy of my worship and devotion.

Not if you care at all about women, which Ms. Green has proven over and over again that she does not.

I read the bible...the whole bible when I was younger (about 13-14) and it scared me...the thought that "God" could be so cruel to his children...the people he should love unconditionally!!!! no questions asked!!!!!!!!!

Four days post surgery. I am sipping as fast as I can and getting NO WHERE near the goal of 60 - 80 grams of protein or the 64 oz of liquids. I just feel FULL. I don't know if it can still be the gas build up (I would think by now that would be gone) but it is a struggle to drink. And so far I have not had the nausea or spasms and don't want to wander into that territory by pushing too hard with liquids. I about passed out today as it was my most "strenuous" day. Went from second story to basement for shower and I was sure I was going to pass out. Looking back on my last few days I have had a total of less than 1000 calories. Am I just not getting enough nourishment in me? Once again a friday where I can't get ahold of the doc until Monday rolls back around so I am hoping maybe someone here has some experience on how to keep energy going. I do have fibromyalgia too and that may be where some added fatigue comes into play. How did you all fair with the goals the week after surgery?

2 days until I fly out to San Diego to have my Bypass Surg. in Tiajuana Mexico. Not gonna lie, the nerves are starting to surface. I don't fear the surgery itself, or the fact that I'm traveling alone, but its the aftermath that I'm stressing about the most, after this 8 week wait. I'm excited to finally be here, but I am really dreading the post surgical chapter. I know its going to be tough, real tough and I think I'm just in my head to much now that the day i here. Wish me luck, Hopefully I'm one of the lucky ones, and everything goes smoothly. Cant wait to give an exciting update,. If there is anyone else have a June bypass or even a recent one, Id love to have someone to compare war stories with. Also, anyone near San Antonio Tx? See ya soon with the future me. 💜

I'm in Houston so kind of near you and had the sleeve in Dec. Down 61 lbs. Feeling better. Was definitely worth it. I hope the everything is going well for you. Update us when you can!

I am back home after my bypass surgery in Tiajuana. I'm post op day 4. Everything went great! I guess I'm one of the lucky ones who have not encountered much pain at all, no nausea thus far and I'm having no problem keeping down broths and water. Thank you for your well wishes. I cant wait to keep up this journey and have a chance at better health and simply better quality of life. I know there will be bumps in the road ahead, and everything won't be peaches and cream, but at least I have a great start so far. 😍

I am new here today... and only two weeks out from my sleeve surgery on the 23rd. I am amazed I have kept my calories down to 467 today so far... that leaves me almost 750 left for dinner and maybe a snack. This is going to be tough for two weeks... but I have to believe I can do it!

Hey everyone. I'm new here so I thought I should introduce myself. I am 53y/o and am scheduled for Gastric Bypass on June 25th, 2025. I'm located in San Antonio, Texas. I will be having my surgery in Tiajuana Mexico. I've wanted this for years, but I always had insurance where bariatric procedures were excluded. Finally I am able to afford to pay out of pocket.  I can't wait to get started, and I hope I'm prepared for the initial period of "hell". I know what I have signed up for, but I'm sure the good to come will out way the temporary period of discomfort and feelings of regret. I'd love to find people to talk to who have been through the same procedure or experience before. So I look forward to meeting you all. Hope you have a great week!

I'm so happy for you! You are about to change your life. I was so glad to get the sleeve done in Dec. I didn't have feelings of regret overall. And I'm down almost 60 lbs. I do feel a little sad at restaurants. I can barely eat half a kid's meal. I get adults meals often because kid ones don't have the same offerings at times. Then I feel obligated to eat on that until it's gone and that can be days. So the restaurant thing isn't great for me. All the rest is fine by me! I love feeling full with very little. I do wish I could drink when eating. And will sip at the end. Just a strong habit to stop. But I'm working on it! You will do fine! Just keep focused on your desire to be different. Not better or worse. But different. I am happy both ways but my low back doesn't like me that heavy. So I listened (also my feet!). LOL! Update us on your journey! I'm not far from you. I'm in Houston. Good luck and I hope it all goes smoothly! Would love to see pics of the town you go to for this. I've never been there. Neat you will be traveling for this! Enjoy the journey. Take it one day at a time. Sometimes a few hours at a time. Follow all recommendations as best you can. 💗

      2. Doughgurl

Thank you so much for your well wishes. I am hoping that everything goes easy for me as well. We don't eat out much as it is, so it wont be too bad in that department. Thankfully. Also, I hear you regarding your back and feet!! I'd like to add knees to the list. Killing me as we speak! I'm only 5' so the weight has to go. Too short to carry all this weight. Menopause really did a doosey on me. (😶lol) My daughter also lives in Houston. with her Husband and my 5 grand-littles. I grew up in Beaumont, so I know Houston well, I will be sure to keep in touch and update you on my journey. I may need some advice in the future, or just motivation. Thank You so much for reaching out, I was hoping to connect with someone in the community. I really appreciate it. 💜
